Banten is a province that lies in the westernmost part of Java Island. It offers dozens of wonders, from natural spots, cosmopolitan city and modern living, also unique Baduy Tribe and its cultural heritage.

During the 5th century, the Banten province was the part of the Ancient Tarumanagara kingdom which its traces are still visible in some of its notable areas. Meanwhile, Banten also offers tourists an assortment of beaches, coastal resorts as well as busy cities worth to visit.
Ujung Kulon national park is probably the most iconic tourist destination in the Banten province, which is located in the edge of Java Island. Visitors can experience various activities in this place, including trekking, camping, as well safari to see rhinoceros.

Another popular beach that is also worth to mention is Anyer Beach, which becomes favorite among local and international tourists. This beach is located in Serang and offers an exquisite view of the sea along with its white sand that is suitable for various water-based sport such as swimming, surfing, diving, and snorkeling.

If you are more into a mountain then you should definitely visit the Mount Krakatau. It is a common knowledge the mountain has erupted decades ago. However, in the aftermath of the eruption, the location surrounding the mountain has made the location become even more attractive. Nowadays, this work of nature attracts many tourists to climb the mountain.

Visiting Banten will be incomplete without getting to know about the Baduy’s culture. Visiting Baduy village will help you learn more about the local wisdom of Banten’s native inhabitants. Located in Lebak, interacting with the friendly local tribe will certainly give you an interesting and unique experience.
